Jest to wzrost mniejszy niż w 2000 roku, kiedy sięgnął 13,2 proc. NOF jest zadowolona, że recesja nie zatrzymała rozwoju franchisingu w Niemczech.

Przychody netto sektora wzrosły do 31,7 mld Euro. O 14,3 proc. wzrosła liczba franchisobiorców i wyniosła 56 tysięcy. Recesja dotknęła najsłabsze systemy i całkowita ilość systemów działających w Niemczech spadła do 950. Zatrudnienie globalne w sektorze franchisingowym wyniosło 368 tys. osób.
