Puls Biznesu poinformował, że Jeronimo Martins, portugalski koncern, który w Polsce ma sklepy dyskontowe Biedronka, hurtownie Eurocash i hipermarkety Jumbo ogłosi 30 kwietnia 2001 plan restrukturyzacji, w ramach których sklepy zostaną oddzielone od działów przemysłowych. Analitycy szacują, że dług Jeronimo sięga 1,5 mld EUR (5,5 mld zł) czyli ponad dwukrotnie przewyższa wartość akcji spółki. Spodziewają się, że ogłoszone straty netto za 200 rok sięgną 3,8 mln EUR (13,9 mln zł).
