Według informacji PKN Orlen, 25 proc. klientów przy zakupie paliwa kieruje się głównie jego ceną, a nie jakością. Mniej istotne są również usługi dodatkowe: przystacyjny sklep, bar czy inne. Dla tej grupy klientów koncern uruchomił w ubiegłym roku ekonomiczną sieć stacji Bliska. PKN Orlen planuje mieć do końca 2006 roku 170 stacji tej sieci. Ich liczba do 2009 roku ma wzrosnąć do 900. Pod szyldem Bliska mogą działać m.in. stacje franczyzowe i patronackie, które spełniają wymagania marki. Grupa poszukuje także nowych lokalizacji.
