W wartej 6,5 mld EUR (23,4 mld zł) transakcji koncern paliwowy BP przejmuje stacje benzynowe Aral i dział przetwórstwa ropy od niemieckiego E.ON-u, drugiej pod względem wielkości firmy energetycznej w Europie- podaje Puls Biznesu.

Transakcja ma polegać na wymianie akcji. BP przejmie od E.ON-u stacje Arala i dział przetwórstwa ropy Veba Oel. Z kolei E.ON otrzyma należące do BP akcje Ruhrgas.

Po zakończeniu transakcji BP wyprzedzi obecnego lidera na rynku niemieckim – duet Shell i DEA. Ten alians ma 3,2 tys. stacji benzynowych w Niemczech i trochę mniej niż 25 proc. rynku tego kraju. BP dołączy 2560 stacji Aral do swoich 950 i zdobędzie ponad 25 proc. rynku paliw. W przyszłości brytyjski koncern chce sprzedawać benzynę pod szyldem najpopularniejszego w Niemczech, założonego ponad 100 lat temu koncernu Aral. W Polsce, gdzie BP ma 137 obiektów, a Aral – 105, wszystkie stacje benzynowe będą oznaczone symbolem BP.
