To odstępstwo od zasady swobody umów ma chronić drobnych dostawców dużych sieci handlowych. Od lat narzekają oni na wymuszanie przez sieci coraz dłuższe terminy zapłaty za dostawy.

Zdaniem "Rzeczpospolitej" duże sieci handlowe znajdą jednak sposoby, aby powetować sobie wynikającą z ustawy utratę korzyści.
