Jak podaje „Rzeczpospolita”, japońska sieć supermarketów Daiei będąca na skraju bankructwa otrzymała od banków wierzycielskich pomoc w wysokości 550 mld jenów (4,48 EUR). Banki dodały nawet 100 mld JPY wobec planu naprawczego za stycznia, który przewidywał kwotę 420 mld.

Trzej główni wierzyciele zgodzili się zamienić dług 230 mld na akcje i umorzyć 170 mld. Umorzą też 120 mld JPY, za które kupili w zeszłym roku akcje uprzywilejowane Daiei. Grupa zredukowała za to zatrudnienie o 1400 osób w firmie matce i o 5 tys. w całej sieci - zatrudniała ostatnio 104 tys.
